AK 1 PET Felt Workplace Divider

Introduction

Designed by Ivan Kasner and Uli Budde, AK 1 PET Felt Workplace Divider separates workspaces at shared desks without closing them off. The PET felt shell and acoustic filling dampen background noise, creating the sensation of privacy while keeping you connected to your surroundings. Clamp it onto any standard tabletop between 20 and 40 mm thick. Available in 11 PET felt colours for open-plan offices and co-working spaces.

Open offices thrive on interaction, but focus needs boundaries. AK 1 adds that boundary to existing desk setups. Place it where concentration matters most, remove it when the table becomes a meeting point again. A simple addition that makes shared workspaces work for everyone.

Eleven unique PET felt blends, each with its own texture and depth. Minor colour variations between batches are a natural result of the recycled content in the material.

Made from recycled PET felt

The shell of AK 1 is made from PET felt, a durable material produced from recycled plastic bottles. Soft to touch, strong in use, with natural sound-absorbing properties. A honeycomb paper core filling reinforces the panel and enhances acoustic performance. Both recycled and recyclable, the few components make AK 1 easy to disassemble after a long lifespan.
